Sarah's Peace Quilt Services keeps a keen eye towards community needs that we can meet with our unique skills. In addition to private tutoring to help out with techniques you may have difficulties mastering, and quilt classes, we offer many educational opportunities. We also keep track of active quilting guilds in our community. If it is a show, contest, or raffle that you are interested in finding out about or promoting, Sarah's Peace Quilt Services is your place. Historical reference dating is available for most quilted items and insight on repairs or preservation is always available on a walk-in basis. If your organization is hoping to obtain a quilt for a raffle or other fundraising events, stop in and see your personalized options.
Our largest ongoing community outreach program involves our campaign to create quilts for newly adopted children.. Join the challenge to expand the number of children we can reach for the next year. You have a two part role to fill! Nominate a recently adopted child, or a soon to be adoption child to receive a handmade, one of a kind fabric item from the shop. -OR- volunteer to make an item for one of the nominated children.
Sarah's Peace Quilt Services accepts donations for the following MCC relief kits: Comforters, Fabric, and Sewing Kits.
If you have a samll group, church organization, or gathering that would like to produce quilts for donation to various organizations, Sarah's Peace Quilt Services would be available to come and lead a workshop to get this done. We are currently working with three local relief-quilt making groups but are always willing to add a few more. If you are already part of a group and would like to add an extra member, or would like information on where to donation your finished quilts to, contact us or look at our links page for some good ideas.
